Just Sing!

WE ARE BACK for 2022!!!!!!

Rehearsals are now on a THURSDAY, 7.30 – 9pm, Woodborough Village Hall.

We meet every week during term time, but please note that there will be NO rehearsal on February 3rd 2022.

La la la ladies!!!!!!!!!

VERY EXCITED to know that choir is back on Thursdays at Woodborough Village Hall! This is just a reminder to make sure that we all end up in the right place at the right time!

So: it is every Thursday during term time

7.30pm -9pm

Woodborough Village Hall. (Further up Lingwood Lane, past the church and school)

Everyone is welcome, no matter how experienced a singer you are (or not!). We are a friendly bunch who always welcome new members, and want to spread the joy of the jolly good time that we all have when we get together and sing!

There is plenty of parking there which is good. Also, please wear a mask for arriving and chatting. When we sing, we can spread out – the hall is really big – and we will socially distance so that we are as safe as possible. Please can I encourage you to take a LFT beforehand (although this is not mandatory). I wouldn’t run the rehearsal if I did not think it was safe to do so, so please be reassured and come if you possibly can.

Can’t wait to see you (and hear you) all again soon. Believe me – the power of singing together is just what we all need right now to give us hope for the future. Woodborough Just Sing are BACK!

See you ALL on THURSDAY!

Literally CANNOT WAIT to see you all. It has been MUCH too long!

Just Sing is a community choir made up of around 40 women from the north Nottinghamshire village of Woodborough and neighbouring towns and villages.

Under the leadership of their Music Director, Cate Cadman, the choir meets each Tuesday evening, in Woodborough.

Songs in the choir’s current repetoire include ‘Pearl’ by Katie Perry, ‘Brave’ by Sara Bareilles, and a selection of songs from The Greatest Showman. We sing a wide variety of songs from gospel, musical theatre, pop (current and retro!), and even some classical repertoire too.

Tickets for our last concert – at St Swithun’s Church, Woodborough, on Tuesday 25 June, sold out! We had a fabulous night of singing. Dates of upcoming concerts will be posted on here soon……

Support for the choir comes from a number of local organisations, including Woodborough Woods School, St Swithun’s Church, Woodborough Web, and the village Post Office.

Invitations to sing come from a wide range of organisations including St Swithun’s Church, Timmermans Garden Centre, We R Here (for whom we have sung at various venues) and the Women’s Institute.

New members are always welcome – whether you have previous experience or not. The first session is free, after that members pay a weekly contribution of £5.00 to help cover costs.

Go for it! Find out more by contacting Choir Director Cate Cadman by email:
